LMT Resources During Covid-19

As we are all navigating these challenging times day by day; we found that many LMT’s were reaching out for any resources or tips we had on how best to support their careers and businesses.

We have compiled a small list of resources that we have found to be helpful. We will be updating this page on a daily basis as new information arises.

  1. AMTA is working with state and federal government/agencies to help, where we can, to minimize the short and long-term impacts resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. We are all in this together, so we are asking all massage therapists, along with our industry and organizational partners, to take a moment and contact your individual U.S. representative and U.S. senators to express support for economic relief and aid for the massage therapy profession and small businesses, schools and independent contractors across the United States.  Take Action by following THIS LINK.

  2. Massage Magazine has started a resource page for the Coronavirus. Follow THIS LINK

This section is a resource of information on coronavirus (COVID-19) to help massage therapists stay on top of the global pandemic, and to support clinics large and small with updated news on treatment, nutrition, business and government/sources of loan support.

  3. ABMP will continue to update our members about ways they can take advantage of any relief opportunities created in response to the COVID-19 outbreak, and, as always, we will continue to offer excellent service to our members, striving to live up to our motto: expectmore. For our local practitioners here are some state specific resources:

  1. Oregon Board of Massage Therapy Keep up to date on Oregon Board of Massage Therapy (OBMT) news by following THIS LINK . Please note at this time they are supporting all requirements put out by the Oregon Health Authority (OHA).

  2. Eugene Chamber of Commerce has compiled extensive resource lists for Business Relief, Local Updates, and Disaster Preparedness at THIS LINK

  3. Lane SBDC has established a page to help businesses interested in applying to Lane County’s Small Business Emergency Loan Fund (SBELF).

Though our brick and mortar is temporarily closed while we wait for the health of our community to be back in balance, we are checking our email and social media accounts regularly.

Be safe and well in the coming weeks - finding roots within a new practice of being.
