Frequently Asked Questions

Q - Are you registered?/Do you issue receipts?

Answer - Yes, I am registered and issue receipts for benefits purposes every second Monday of the month via email.

Q - What do I have to do to prepare for my massage?

Answer - Please choose a quiet area of your home for your therapist to set up.  The area should be at least 6'x8'.  You will need two queen-sized pillows.  Turn off your phone's ringer, put on some soft music, have a warm bath or shower.  RELAX...

Just a note: Your therapist's table may weigh 40+lbs, is large and difficult to maneuver.  Please choose a location that is easily accessible and does not require transporting her table up a large quantity of stairs.  Your therapist's back thanks you, in advance!

Q -Do you do deep tissue massage?

Answer - Yes.  Please be advised that each therapist has their own techniques and depth comfort level.  My Deep tissue massage is NOT excruciatingly painful.  You will experience mild discomfort during your massage and likely some tenderness the following day.  This especially applies to people not accustomed to deep-tissue work, or who are not physically active on a regular basis.

Q - Do you work with infants or children?

Answer - Yes!  I am trained in Infant/Child Massage and am happy to work with your child during your appointment.  Please note that a parent is required to be present during the massage of any child under the age of 16.

Many people do not realise that, in most cases, their child is also covered by their benefits plan and will receive reimbursement for therapeutic massage.  Common childhood complaints that respond to massage are: bedtime anxiety, growing pains, insomnia, colic, headaches.  Most infant/child massages are less than 15 minutes in duration and includes application of "Sweet Dreams" or "Monster-repellant" cream (your choice).

Please advise prior to your massage if you would like to include a massage for your child.

Please be advised that a 60 Minute Massage Appointment also includes 5-10 minutes of set-up, medical questionaire & home-care recommendations. As a result, your total massage time can vary from 50-55 minutes, depending on your needs and the schedule of your therapist.  If you require more time than this, please book a 90 minute massage.
